We understand the impact healthcare can have on quality of life, because we are also the women we serve. Our research is personal, our research is global, our research affects all of us! Jamie Mark, ARNP
Co-Owner/Chief Medical Officer
Jamie Mark is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). She obtained her Registered Nursing degree in 1997 and her Masters degree and Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 1999. Jamie has worked as an ARNP for the last 26 years in both a clinical and surgical setting. Starting in 2017 she began working in clinical research and for the last three years, this has been her sole focus. Jamie strives to provide quality care while educating patients and families to better understand their diagnosis.
Jill Ciccarello
Co-Owner/Chief Executive Officer
Jill Ciccarello completed her Undergraduate work at the University of Washington. She has been working in biomedical research for the past 25 years. Jill has experience with federally and privately funded research programs. She has spent much of her career devoted to building teams, operational infrastructure, cultivating partnerships, and leading organizations focused on advancing biomedical research. She is a Regulatory Subject Matter Expert, having previously worked at Advarra IRB, and as a Regulatory Compliance and Science Officer for the US Army Medical Research and Materials Command and CDMRP. She is proud to bring opportunity and scientific advancement to the Inland Northwest.
Michael coats, MD
Principal InvestigatorMichael Coats, MD is triple board-certified Sleep Medicine Specialist, Psychiatrist and Neurologist. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Dr. Coats completed residencies in Neurology and Psychiatry as well as a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Sleep Medicine at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC. While at WRAMC he also served as a lead Investigator for many clinical research trials. He comes to Citta Clinical Research with extensive clinical trial experience and expertise.
Jeffrey Emery, DO
Principal InvestigatorDr. Jeffrey J. Emery is a family medicine doctor, specializing in Cardiometabolic Health. He received his medical degree from A. T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Historically, he has focused on heart attack and stroke prevention. He come to Citta Clinical Research with the aim of improving management of metabolic disorders, before they become chronic health conditions.
Stephen Pakkianathan, MD
Principal InvestigatorDr. Pakkianathan (Dr. Pakk) is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2007 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2011. He provides a complete array of OB and GYN services for women of all ages and is current in women’s health care technologies including the DaVinci System and minimally invasive procedures. He is an active member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He comes to Citta Clinical Research to serve the needs of his patients and advance knowledge and treatment options for women in our community.
Carriann Shae, MD
Principal InvestigatorDr. Shae was born and raised in Eastern Washington. She attended the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her Ob-Gyn residency at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California where she developed special interests in Health Equity and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. With her return to Washington, Dr. Shae is honored to care for the women of Spokane and surrounding community. She comes to Citta Clinical Research with the hope of helping to discover and develop better treatment options, services, and support for her patients and the women across the globe.
Shelley Ringo, MD
Principal InvestigatorDr. Shelley R. Ringo is a family medicine doctor specializing in Sports Medicine. She received her medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She has expertise in treating arthritis, bursitis, hypertension & high blood pressure, among other conditions. She come to Citta Clinical Research with a genuine interest in advancing medicine and technology.
